The MT4 platform allows 9 different timeframes per chart. The timeframes start with an M, H, D, W, and MN. These stand for Minutes, Hours, Days, Weeks, and Months. This is then followed by the time intervals of 1, 5, 15, 30, and 4. You can find these nine timeframes at the top toolbar area of MT4, just above the charts, showing as M1, M5, M15, M30, H1, H4, D1, W1, and MN.

To change the timeframe, select the chart and then select the period from the top toolbar.

Alternatively, the timeframe can be changed by right-clicking on the chart, selecting 'Timeframes’ then your preferred option.
