- Add a New Bank Account (if this is your first time using Local Money Transfer):
- Go to the “Manage” section.
- Click “Add” to register a new bank account.
Note: You must have a verified bank account before submitting a withdrawal request. If you already have a saved and verified bank account, you can go directly to the “Withdraw” tab to apply.
- Select the bank account country.
- Enter the required bank account details, including:
- Nickname (optional)
- Account Holder Name (Use Katakana characters only)
- Account Number (7 numerical digits (numbers only, no spaces))
- Account Type (select from the dropdown menu)
- Bank Name (select from the dropdown menu)
- Bank Branch Name
Note: You’ll need to select your Bank from the drop-down menu, then enter your Bank Branch Name and/or Bank Branch Code into the portal exactly as it appears here.
- Click “Continue” to proceed.
- Upload a clear bank statement or the bank passbook that matches your Axi account name, showing your name, account number, and a date within the last six months, as statements not meeting these criteria will be rejected.
The bank statement is needed for verification purposes. Bank statements are official documents issued by your bank or downloaded via online banking.
Please make sure that your bank statement meets the following requirements:
- Must include your name, bank account details, and date.
- The owner's name on the statement must match the name on your Axi profile.
- The statement should not be older than six months.
- Accepted file types for upload include JPEG, PNG, PDF, and HEIC, with a maximum file size of 6 MB. IMPORTANT: Bank statements are different than Bank receipts.
Note: Only the first page of your bank statement is required, provided it contains the following information:
- Name/Logo of your bank
- Bank account name
- Bank account number/IBAN
- Swift/BIC
- After uploading the document, click “Submit for Review.”
- Verification typically takes a few minutes (withdrawals will not be processed using pending bank accounts).
Once approved, your bank account will appear in your profile.
- Select “Withdraw” from the top menu.
- Input the amount you want to withdraw.
Note: If you have already deposited using Local Money Transfer (Japan), you can only withdraw up to the initial deposit amount due to the Return to Source (RTS) policy.
- Once you've withdrawn the full RTS amount, you can withdraw any remaining balance (i.e., profits). To do this, enter your desired amount under the "Money Transfer (JPY)" option and choose your preferred currency for the transaction.
IMPORTANT: Each withdrawal method has a minimum withdrawal amount. This will also be displayed in the Client Portal. If you enter an amount below the minimum, you will not be able to complete the withdrawal process. It is also important to note that different currencies have different minimum withdrawal amounts.
- Select the account you would like to withdraw from and click “Continue”. If you have only one registered bank account, it will be automatically selected for withdrawal.
- Once you have checked that all details are correct, click “Request Withdrawal” to submit the request for processing.
Note: We take 1-2 business days to review and process your withdrawal request.
IMPORTANT: Once you submit a withdrawal request, your balance will immediately reflect the deduction while the request is being processed. If the withdrawal fails, the amount will be returned to your balance, and our Client Services team will contact you by email with the reason and next steps.
