How to deposit via Local Money Transfer (UPI) in India — Client Portal

You can deposit via Local Money Transfer (UPI) in India by scanning the QR code using a UPI-enabled banking app.

Eligibility & Requirements

  1. Available only for clients registered and residing in India.

  2. Minimum deposit is displayed in the Client Portal.

  3. Deposits must be made from a bank account registered in your own name.

UPI Deposit Rules

  • The receiver name displayed during payment is part of the official UPI setup and may appear during the transaction.

  • After completing the payment, you may be required to enter the UPI Reference ID (UTR number) in the “Transaction ID / UTR No” field.

  • Enter the UTR number exactly as provided by your payment app, without spaces.

  • Deposits are typically auto-approved when the Reference ID matches the payment provider record. If the details do not match, processing may be delayed or require manual review.

  • After clicking “Save,” do not refresh the page. A confirmation popup is usually shown within a few minutes. In some cases, system processing may take 5–15 minutes.

Steps to Complete

  1. Log in to the Axi Client Portal.

  2. Navigate to “Funds” and select “Deposit.”

  3. Click “Add Funds” on the trading account you wish to fund.

  4. Select “UPI” as your deposit method.

  5. Enter the deposit amount.

  6. Review the details and click “Make Deposit.”

  7. A QR code will be generated. Scan it using a UPI-enabled app (such as Paytm, Google Pay, PhonePe, or other supported banking apps).

  8. Complete the payment and note the UPI Reference ID (UTR number).

  9. Enter the UTR number in the required field and click “Save.”

  10. Wait for the system to process the transaction.

  11. A confirmation popup should appear within 2 minutes. In some cases, wait up to 5–15 minutes.

Receiving Time

Deposits are typically processed within minutes after successful payment and correct reference submission. In some cases, additional processing or verification may take longer.

Important Notes

  • Do not refresh the page immediately after submitting the reference ID.

  • If the loading screen continues for more than 15 minutes, contact the Customer Success team.

  • Processing times may vary depending on the payment provider or verification requirements.

  • If the status does not update after an extended period, contact Client Services.
