Withdraw funds using Local Money Transfer (Japan) via the Axi Client Portal to a verified Japanese bank account.

Eligibility & Requirements

  1. Available to residents of Japan only.

  2. A verified Japanese bank account in your name is required before submitting a withdrawal request.

  3. Minimum and maximum withdrawal limits apply — displayed in the Client Portal. If your request is outside these limits, an error message will appear.

Bank Account Requirements

  1. Account Holder Name: Katakana characters only.

  2. Account Number: exactly 7 numerical digits — numbers only, no spaces.

  3. Account Type: select from the dropdown.

  4. Bank Name: select from the dropdown.

  5. Bank Branch Name and/or Bank Branch Code: enter exactly as shown in the official directory.

  6. Bank statement or passbook required: name, account number, date within the last 6 months.

  7. Name on statement must match your Axi profile exactly.

  8. Bank statements are official documents — receipts are not accepted.

  9. Accepted file types: JPEG, PNG, PDF, HEIC. Maximum file size: 6 MB.

  10. Only the first page is required if it contains: bank name/logo, account name, account number/IBAN, and Swift/BIC.

  11. Withdrawals cannot be processed while bank verification is pending.

Local Money Transfer Withdrawal Rules

Return to Source (RTS) does not apply to this payment method. You are free to withdraw your funds to any available withdrawal method displayed in the Client Portal.

Steps to Complete Withdrawal

  1. Log in to the Axi Client Portal.

  2. First time: go to Manage → Add, enter your bank details, upload your bank statement, and submit for review. Verification is usually completed within 24 hours, depending on the validation process.

  3. Go to Funds and select Withdraw from the top menu.

  4. Choose your trading account.

  5. Enter the withdrawal amount in the Money Transfer (JPY) field and select your preferred currency. Minimum: 1,340 JPY.

  6. Select a verified bank account (auto-selected if only one registered).

  7. Review details and click Request Withdrawal.

Processing Time

Axi processes withdrawal requests within 1–2 business days. Fund receival time may vary depending on your bank.

Important Notes

  1. Your balance is adjusted immediately after submitting the request.

  2. If the withdrawal is unsuccessful, funds will be returned, and Client Services will contact you with the reason and next steps.
